Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park is a compact but remarkably diverse wildlife destination located beneath the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park features groundwater forests, open grasslands, woodland and the alkaline waters of Lake Manyara.
The park is well known for its elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hippos and diverse birdlife. It is also famous for sightings of tree-climbing lions resting in the branches of acacia trees.
Lake Manyara offers a combination of wildlife, scenery and birdwatching opportunities, making it an excellent stop on northern Tanzania safari circuits.
